The river cruise was a resounding success for my husband and me, with its exceptional crew, culinary delights, wine selection, and playlist. The air-conditioned boat and bus provided a comfortable escape from today's 40-degree Celsius heat. At the Margaret River Chocolate outlet, we were given a complimentary truffle of our choice. We savoured 12 wine tastings at two wineries, accompanied by a delightful cheese board at one. The brewery visit was a particular highlight for my husband, who enjoyed the complementary glass of icy cold beer and crispy fried chips. Our bus driver, Shaun, was top-notch. We highly recommend this 7-hour day trip.

Boat ride, lunch, wines on the boat was great. Lancaster winery was a disaster, worst experience at a winery we’ve had. It was already super busy, our group was 30+ people. The guy explained the first wine and left because other groups were too loud (3 large coach buses in the parking lot). We were given 6 bottles and told to pour ourselves. People free poured full glasses and we didn’t get to taste everything. Toilets were filthy. Half our group dropped at the boat then the remaining winery/chocolate factory/brewery was average. We wish we stayed on the boat all day, indulge package was not worth it.

After leaving the Barack Street Jetty, we enjoyed lunch and local wines aboard the boat. We then boarded a coach for visits to the Margaret River Chocolate factory and two further wineries for tastings. The day was rounded off, by stopping at the Slumdog Brewery for some craft ales.

It's a fun way to spend the day with plenty of variety. You do need to enjoy wine tasting though. Loved finishing work the chocolate!

Value for money, enjoyable day out, staff very friendly. Food was varied and not too much. Plenty of time for tasting.

I feel a bit mean only rating this 4 stars as the river cruise was awesome, including one of the best lunch platters I’ve experienced. Also, the 2 boutique wineries visited on the bus tour segment were further highlights. Windy Creek offered a huge range of tastings with some different varieties to the usual and Garben Estate was even more of a standout with owner Peter, pouring and describing his wonderful wines. We picked up a couple of his sensational Blanc de Blanc sparking wines - really good For me, what let the tour down was the last 2 stops: The brewery was underwhelming, no ambience and even worse, the beers weren’t great, actually one of them undrinkable. The chocolate factory was fine except 40 minutes was far too long a stop. In my opinion, tweaks to the latter part of the tour would establish the overall rating to a resounding 5/5.
